81If you're like me, I love anything and everything about animals. I like learning about them every chance I get and if I could, I'd have a zoo of my own! haha :)
If I wasn't so inclined to become a police officer, my next option would definitely be to become a veterinarian or some other type of career that has animal involvement.
Anyway, purely for your enjoyment and entertainment, I've went on the hunt for some interesting and silly facts on our favorite animals. :)
- Elephants spend 23 hours a day eating.
- Snakes can see through their eyelids.
- Starfish can grow new arms.
- Cats have 32 muscles in each ear.
- Cows give more milk when listening to music.
- Slugs have 4 noses.
- Bears (fully grown) can run as fast as horses.
- Mice sperm is larger than elephant sperm.
- Crocodiles cannot stick their tongues out.
- Dolphins sleep with one eye closed.
- Kangaroos use their tail for balance.
- Camels have 3 eyelids.
- Lions can mate more than 50 times per day.
- Polar Bears are the only mammals with hair on the soles of their feet.
- Butterflies taste with their hind feet.
- Penguins can jump up to 6 feet high.
- Flamingos can only eat when their head is upside down.
- Giraffes do not have vocal cords.
- Goats have rectangular pupils.
